Mini Saga #11 - The Team
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
It was the lack of oxygen. Jane collapsed just when the team was a few hundred feet away from the summit. Two out of the other three volunteered to return with Jane. Rob could continue the climb with another team. He thought for a second and decided to turn back.

Note1: A mini saga is a story in exactly 50 words.
Note 2: This mini saga was inspired by a true story that Punit Soni told me about their Cotopaxi adventure. I got his permission to convert that into a mini saga. Read the full story here in his own words

I pray that you stop publishing the ministupidities or, at least, create a different category and different RSS feed for them.
I am sorry to hear that you didn’t like the mini sagas. I do get several non-anonymous emails saying that they like them.
Best,
So I am confused now
Raj
In the beginning, they were nice. Now and then, I might enjoy them. But when they reach 33-50% of the meaningful posts (4 out of the previous 9, this one included), it becomes a little bothering. So, what I am suggesting, is to keep them at 25% of all posts max.
Maybe I’m just having a bad day and I snapped. Or maybe I am right. You should poll your readers.
Thank you for your wonderful blog. Even with the ministupidities.
You definitely have a good point. I tend to get carried away. May be I should restrict it to one mini saga per week (which was my original plan)
However, there are at least ten people who emailed/called me and said they like them because they don’t have time to read my rants. If I can pack some wisdom in 50 words that would make their life easier. Hence the barrage of mini sagas.
Of course, you didn’t hurt my feelings. Thank you for being open.
Best,
Raj
rajesh - i agree with the anonymous reader. these mini-sagas are meaningless and do not fit. looks like you’ve run out of ideas for your blog and have introduced something disconnected to keep your blog flowing. please reconsider your content and make it more meaningful. think roii.
Thank you for your candid feedback. Like I said before there are so many emails that I get from people who do like Mini Sagas. Obviously, since I am only one person, I can’t satisfy both parties
Thinking abour ROII, the mini sagas are only 50 words so you can’t waste a lot of time reading them. Probably - less than a minute.
Now, if you folks don’t want to remain anonymous on the blog, you are welcome to send me an email and start a dialogue on this. Otherwise, you can skip one mini saga per week.
Have fun and once again, thank you. I appreciate all feedback.
Best,
Raj
